ANSWERS ABOUT THE TREN TRANSITION

START A CONFIDENTIAL CONVERSATION

Do I need to retire immediately?

No. A transition can be planned over several months or longer. A gradual handover may give clients more time to become familiar with their successor agent.

Do I have to transfer my entire database?

No. We can begin by identifying the clients and relationships most appropriate for the transition. The final process will depend on privacy requirements, client consent and the agreement.

Will my clients be required to use David?

No. Clients always remain free to select their own REALTOR®. Your introduction gives them a trusted option when they need real estate assistance.

How much referral income can I expect?

That depends on the strength of your relationships, historical transaction activity, the number of clients who participate and the amount of future business generated. No specific level of income can be guaranteed.

How will I know when a transaction occurs?

Eligible transactions will be tracked under the written referral agreement. Regular reporting will show completed transactions, referral calculations and payment status.

Can I remain involved after the transition?

Yes. Some agents want a clean departure while others prefer to attend an occasional client event or remain involved in selected introductions. Your role will be established in the transition plan.

What areas does David serve?

David primarily serves the Tri-Cities and Greater Vancouver. If most of your clients are outside David’s service area, the current pilot program may not be suitable.

Is TREN a real estate brokerage?

No. The Trusted Real Estate Network is a succession and referral management program. Real estate services and referral payments are handled through the appropriate licensed brokerages and remain subject to their approval.
